Your work. Your Mac.
Privacy and connected services · Updated October 20, 2026
Local work stays local.
Hodani’s local tools process their core content on your Mac. We do not include recordings, transcripts, screenshots, note contents, terminal commands, file paths, passwords or clipboard contents in product usage analytics. Term’s third-party agents and remote connections have their own data policies.
Usage analytics you can turn off.
In builds with this integration, usage analytics through Sigmon are enabled by default for new installations to help us understand which apps and features are useful. You can turn them off using the privacy controls at the bottom of the app’s Settings (or Quicktools customization). Existing explicit opt-outs are respected. Older builds may not include this integration. Participating builds may report a random installation identifier, app version, feature results and failures, update outcomes, macOS version, processor architecture and a broad memory-capacity category. A best-effort marker may report that the previous enabled session did not exit cleanly; this is not a confirmed crash diagnosis and does not include crash reports, stack traces or logs. Exact hardware model names are not included. This identifier distinguishes installations, not your name or account. Disabling usage analytics stops future usage events. Reports you choose to send remain a separate action.
Approximate city information is also enabled by default in builds with this integration and can be disabled separately using the same settings footer. Disabling usage analytics also stops city collection through usage events. Existing explicit city opt-outs are respected. City information is coarse, not precise location or GPS. IP addresses are necessarily visible to the hosting and edge services handling a connection; the Hodani gateway does not forward the client IP address to Sigmon. Operational logging at those services is separate from app analytics. City enrichment runs only when allowed by the app setting and supported by the trusted gateway configuration.
Updates and downloads.
Update checks contact Hodani’s update service to look for a compatible release. This connection is separate from usage analytics. The server receives ordinary request metadata, including the IP address and requested app feed. Public downloads are available for Pulse, Capture and Notes (Beta), and Tray, Dictation, Term, Quicktools, Calls and Notebooks (Alpha). Their update checks use signed release feeds.
Feedback is something you choose to send.
Participating builds include Send feedback and Report a bug actions at the bottom of Settings (or Quicktools customization), delivered through Sigmon. You can review your message before sending it. Do not include passwords, private keys or personal content. We do not automatically attach your work to a report.
This website.
This website sends basic usage events to Sigmon through our gateway: pages viewed, navigation between Hodani pages, foreground-visible time, download requests, approximate city and country, operating system family, browser family and broad device category. A random session identifier in session storage connects activity within a tab and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. It is not a persistent visitor identity. We do not send full URLs, query strings, raw IP addresses, raw browser headers, page contents or form input to Sigmon. Network providers necessarily receive request metadata. City is an approximate IP-derived location and can be missing or inaccurate, especially with VPNs.
Use the Site analytics control in the footer to opt out. The preference is stored locally in your browser; Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also disable collection. No analytics cookies, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting or third-party embeds are used. Download counts measure requests forwarded to a file, not completed transfers, installations or unique people. Direct file links and automatic app updates bypass these website counts. Known bots and prefetch requests are excluded on a best-effort basis. Foreground-visible duration is an estimate, not proof of attention. Delivery failures and blockers may reduce counts.
Early access.
Clearly labeled.
Every Hodani app is still in development. There are no final releases yet.
Alpha — Tray, Dictation, Term, Quicktools, Calls and Notebooks. Early builds; features and compatibility may be incomplete.
Beta — Pulse, Capture and Notes. Available to try and still being refined.
Downloads are for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later. Keep backups of important work.
