Inside Capture.

Select an area or a window. Extract text from a selected region directly to your clipboard with OCR.

Add text, arrows, numbered annotations and shapes. Redact sensitive regions before sharing. Review your exported image to check what remains visible.

Customize the background, padding, shadow and border. Save your preferred finish and annotation settings for the next capture.

Bring captures together with consistent spacing. Use spotlight and magnification to guide attention, or keep a capture pinned beside your work.

Default shortcuts
⇧⌘2 Area or window · ⇧⌘1 Main display · ⇧⌘O OCR. Capture all displays is a separate menu action.

For private information, use solid redaction. Blur is a visual effect, not a guarantee that content cannot be inferred.

What you’ll need: Apple Silicon · macOS 15.0 or later. Screen Recording permission is required to capture your screen.
Current boundaries: Capture is in beta. OCR accuracy depends on the image and language. Use solid redaction for sensitive content; a visual blur is not a guarantee that information cannot be inferred.
Privacy & connections: Screenshots and recognized text are processed on your Mac. You choose what to save, copy or share.

Every Hodani app is still in development. There are no final releases yet.
