Inside Notebooks.

Start with your material.

The experiment explores a workspace for local sources and notes, with the source kept close to the question.

Find your way back.

Source search is the focus of the prototype. Results and any generated answers need checking against the original material.

An honest work in progress.

This Alpha includes local source search and experimental on-device answers. Check generated answers against the original material; citations do not guarantee factual accuracy.

Before you begin.

What you’ll need
Apple Silicon · macOS 15 or later. Source search works without a language model. Optional answers require a compatible MLX model and enough memory; models are downloaded separately.
Current boundaries
Experimental answers and limited import formats. PDFs need selectable text; full-notebook coverage and OCR are not available.
Privacy & connections
Imported originals, the notebook database and inference stay on your Mac. Explicit model downloads contact the model host; source text and questions are not sent for inference.

Early access.
Clearly labeled.

Every Hodani app is still in development. There are no final releases yet.

Alpha — Tray, Dictation, Term, Quicktools, Calls and Notebooks. Early builds; features and compatibility may be incomplete.

Beta — Pulse, Capture and Notes. Available to try and still being refined.

Downloads are for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later. Keep backups of important work.
